Overview
Citelli's abscess is an extracranial abscess either posterior to the occipital bone or within the digastric triangle. It is a complication of acute mastoiditis following cortical erosion of the mastoid bone.
History
Citelli's abscess is name after Salvatore Citèlli (1875-1947), an italian otolaryngologist. [1]
