Summary
DescriptionGlomus Jugulare Tumor.jpg
English: The triangular red coloured mass behind the tympanic membrane in the middle ear is a highly vascular tumor known as a glomus tumor.
Because of the intense vascularity of these tumors, they can be seen pulsating.
Because this tumor arises from the dome of the jugular bulb [which constitutes a large portion of the floor of the middle ear, it is referred to as a glomus jugulare.
